FY 2019 Disaster Supplemental

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This investment assistance will help communities and regions devise and implement long-term economic recovery strategies through a variety of non-construction and construction projects to address challenges in areas where a Presidential declaration of a major disaster was issued. FY 2019 Second Chance Act Pay for Success Initiative: Outcomes-Based Contracting to Lower Recidivism and Homelessness

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to assist eligible applicants in converting reentry and permanent supportive housing (PSH) service contracts into outcomes-based contracts in order to ensure accountability and improve performance with regard to recidivism reduction (categories 1 and 2), and increasing nights housed and emergency service savings (category 2). FY 2020 Local Foods, Local Places (LFLP)

WHAT DOES IT FUND? Local Foods, Local Places supports locally led, community-driven efforts to protect air and water quality, preserve open space and farmland, and boost economic opportunities for local farmers and businesses, improve access to healthy local food, and promote childhood wellness. Rather than providing monetary funds, this program provides recipients with a two-day community workshop wherein a team of experts will help community members develop an implementable action plan that promotes local food and neighborhood revitalization. FY 2020/2021 WaterSMART Grants: Drought Response Program Drought Resiliency Project Grants

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This WaterSMART programs supports projects that build long-term resilience to drought and reduce the need for emergency response actions. Resiliency projects are intended to increase the reliability of water supplies; improve water management; and provide benefits for fish, wildlife, and the environment to mitigate impacts caused by drought. FY 2019 Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Grants support communities that have undergone a comprehensive local planning process and are ready to implement their "Transformation Plan" to redevelop the neighborhood. Projects may include redeveloping severely distressed public and/or HUD-assisted housing and catalyzing critical improvements in the neighborhood, including vacant property, housing, businesses, services, and schools. FY 2020/2021 WaterSMART Grants: Water and Energy Efficiency Grants

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides funding for projects that result in quantifiable water savings and support broader water reliability benefits. Projects conserve and use water more efficiently; increase the production of hydropower; mitigate conflict risk in areas at a high risk of future water conflict; and accomplish other benefits that contribute to water supply reliability in the western United States. FY 2020 Research Grants in the Arts

WHAT DOES IT FUND? Funding will support research that investigates the value and/or impact of the arts, either as individual components of the United States art ecology or as they interact with each other and/or with other domains of American life. This program intends to heighten the relevance and significance of arts-related research in policy and practice. Click here for more information.

FY 2020 AmeriCorps VISTA Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) Program is a federal anti-poverty program designed to provide needed resources to eligible applicants to increase their capacity to lift communities out of poverty. Rather than providing monetary awards, this program places individual VISTA members with sponsoring organizations. Click here for more information.

WHEN'S IT DUE? October 1, 2019; January 1, 2020; April 1, 2020,; July 1, 2020 

FY 2019 Jobs Plus Initiative

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The Jobs Plus program develops locally-based job-driven approaches that increase earnings and advance employment outcomes through work readiness, employer linkages, job placement, educational advancement, technology skills, and financial literacy for residents of public housing. The program comprises three core components: Employment-Related Services, Financial Incentives - Jobs Plus Earned Income Disregard (JPEID), and Community Supports for Work. FY 2019 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program: Local Solicitation

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program assists state, local, and tribal efforts to prevent or reduce crime and violence. Awards may be used to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems for criminal justice. Funding may also be used to support broadband deployment and adoption activities, as they relate to criminal justice activities. Click here for more information.
