TFG to Host Webinar on Funding to Combat the Opioid Crisis

TFG in partnership with NACA and eCivis will be hosting a comprehensive webinar on federal funding opportunities available to local governments and non-profits to combat the opioid crisis. The hour-long webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at 2 P.M. EST.

The webinar will provide background information on the avenues federal opioid funding is general filtered through including the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services. The webinar will highlight four upcoming grant opportunities that provide funding for law enforcement, treatment and recovery services, and rural healthcare programming.

In addition, we are excited to announce that a representative from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) will also be presenting on the webinar, and will discussing the September 2019 announcement by the Trump Administration regarding an increase in federal opioid funding. The funding will grant more than $900 million in new funding to the CDC for opioid related programs.

The webinar is intended to help local communities recognize options available to them at the federal level and understand changes to this funding coming in 2020 and beyond.  We hope you can join us!
