Legislative and Policy Director

TFG is searching for a motivated Legislative & Policy Director that is interested in working with a fast-paced, dynamic team to support TFG’s lobbyists and client base. The Legislative & Policy Director will work directly alongside TFG partners and staff with decades of experience in public service and government relations who are working to make a direct and meaningful impact in communities across the U.S. The Legislative & Policy Director will serve as the firm’s primary client and lobbyist support manager with the general goal of providing support services to align federal government policy and legislation with the needs of the communities we serve.

Executive Assistant/Scheduler

TFG is searching for a motivated Executive Assistant/Scheduler who is interested in working with a fast-paced, dynamic team to identify and secure grant funding for critical projects in communities across the country. The Executive Assistant/Scheduler will have the chance to work directly alongside TFG partners and staff with decades of experience in public service and government relations who are working to make a direct and meaningful impact in communities across the U.S.  An Executive Assistant/Scheduler supports assigned professional staff to help meet the needs of their clients and firm duties.  This position requires working hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM, 8:30AM to 5:30PM or 9:00AM to 6:00PM, with occasional late evenings and early mornings. Regular attendance in the office is required as all Executive Assistants are responsible for answering phones and assisting with various other office administrative activities that support the entire office as well as assigned professional staff.

Research Intern

The TFG Internship Program is seeking a Research Intern to assist firm lobbyists and staff on short-term to medium-length projects.  Daily assignments often include: researching and tracking federal legislation; searching previous and current appropriations bills for critical information; locating grant opportunities for municipal government and nonprofit clients; assisting with public relations by compiling information for TFG's website, database, and business proposals; attending congressional and industry hearings and briefings; and writing blog posts, summaries and memorandums.  Research Interns will also be responsible for contributing to research and written content for technical reports on economic development planning, grant proposals, demographic analysis, environmental issues, and related subjects.
