Grant Due: FY 2021 National Public Safety Partnership (PSP)

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The program is designed to promote interagency coordination by leveraging specialized law enforcement expertise with dedicated prosecutorial resources to promote public and community safety by aggressively investigating and prosecuting violent criminals in jurisdictions experiencing precipitous increases in violent crime. Rather than receiving direct funding through this program, participating law enforcement agencies will receive a three-year commitment from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to deliver no-cost, customized, site-specific training and technical assistance (TTA). TFG Monitoring Developments of Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs

On January 27, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under President Trump issued a memorandum titled “Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs.” The directive mandates Federal agencies to temporarily suspend the obligation and disbursement of federal financial assistance while conducting a comprehensive review of programs and awards to ensure alignment with the administration’s policies and priorities. As part of this review, agencies are also instructed to temporarily suspend the issuance of new program solicitations.
