Alexandra (Alex) Yiannoutsos, a political communications professional with congressional, local government, advocacy, journalism, and private sector experience, joined TFG as the firm’s first ever Communications Director. In this role, Alex assists clients develop government relations materials, supports client outreach campaigns, and leads press and digital operations at TFG.

Alex has nearly a decade of writing experience producing a wide range of content as well as extensive digital and graphic design expertise having managed websites and social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube for the public and private sectors. Most recently, Alex served as the Press and Digital Assistant for the Office of Congressman David Price (D-N.C.-4).

Prior to her work at the House of Representatives, Alex was a Communications Associate for AKB Strategies with previous experience as a National Issue Advocacy Intern at BerlinRosen, Congressional Intern at the District Office of Representative Andre Carson (D-Ind.-7), and Public Health and Safety Intern at the Indianapolis Mayor’s Office. For four years, Alex wrote opinion pieces on global policy issues as a Staff Writer and Editor of the McGill International Review. Alex is originally from Indiana with roots in Greece and rural Illinois. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from McGill University.

As TFG CEO for over 30 years, William Ferguson, Jr. launched the full tuition scholarship for ICMA members in 2011.

TFG is proud to offer a scholarship for the Harvard Kennedy School Senior Executives in Local Government Program to an ICMA member. Named in honor of TFG founder, William Ferguson, Jr., the William Ferguson, Jr. Scholarship covers the full $17,400 program fee.
