TRB Webinar: Employee Safety Reporting in Public Transportation

The importance of safety cannot be overstated and requires continued shifts in the approach to safety management within the public transportation industry. TRB is hosting a webinar on Monday, November 2, 2020, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that will describe the characteristics of Employee Safety Reporting (ESR) programs, which are required by the U.S. Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Presenters will discuss the access of reporting, feedback loops, and training and promotion. They will also examine data utilization, appeal processes, and program evaluation.

This webinar draws on research from TCRP Report 218: Characteristics and Elements of Non-Punitive Employee Safety Reporting Systems for Public Transportation.

This program supports demonstrations in up to five communities that provide housing interventions in lower income households that are conducted jointly through the coordination of HUD's Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH)-funded Lead Hazard Control / Healthy Homes programs and programs funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) to determine whether this coordinated delivery of services achieves cost effectiveness and better outcomes in improving the safety and energy efficiency of homes.
