WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program encourages the adoption of SolarAPP+ by local governments with authority over residential rooftop solar photovoltaic permitting. SolarAPP+ is an automated permitting software tool, developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NERL), that provides instant permit approval on code-compliant residential rooftop solar systems. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Local governments that qualify as authorities having jurisdiction, including counties, cities, and incorporated towns and villages. Applicants must have authority over residential rooftop solar photovoltaic permitting.
