WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to fund subgrant programs that support the rehabilitation of historic properties to foster economic development in rural communities. These subgrant programs will select, fund, and manage preservation projects for historic properties to include architectural/engineering services and physical preservation. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State, county, city or township, special district, and federally-recognized Native American tribal governments; public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education; and nonprofit organizations. Units of local government must be Certified Local Governments or located within a Certified Local Government.
