WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to support the implementation of pollution prevention projects that involve research, investigation, experiments, surveys, studies, demonstration, education, and/or training using source reduction approaches, also known as pollution prevention. States, local, interstate, and intrastate government agencies, federally recognized tribes and intertribal consortia, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations; public or nonprofit institutions of higher education, hospitals operated by state, tribal, or local governments or nonprofit organizations
