The hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. EDT in Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, DC.

The purpose of the hearing is to consider the nominations of:

  • Ms. Allison Clements, of Ohio, to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2024, vice Cheryl A. LaFleur, term expired; and 
  • Mr. Mark C. Christie, of Virginia, to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a term expiring June 30, 2025, vice Bernard L. McNamee, term expired. 

Members of the Committee may participate in person or online. The Committee will follow guidelines developed in consultation with the Office of the Attending Physician and the Senate Rules Committee to protect the health of members, staff, and the public. This includes maintaining six-foot social distance spacing in the hearing room. Pursuant to this guidance, Senate office buildings are not open to the public other than official business visitors and credentialed press at this time. Accordingly, in-person visitors cannot be accommodated at this hearing.

The hearing will be webcast live on the Committee’s website, and an archived video will be available shortly after the hearing concludes. Witness testimony will be available on the website at the start of the hearing.

FY 2023-2025 Residential Treatment Center Services for Unaccompanied Children  

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide temporary shelter care and other services to unaccompanied children by supporting eligible residential treatment center (RTC) care providers that specialize in the high quality care of children who have psychiatric or psychological issues that cannot be addressed in an outpatient setting and will require heightened behavioral and/or mental health support. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Residential treatment center (RTC) care providers, including: state and local governments, special district governments, independent school districts, private, public, and state-controlled institutions of higher education, Federally recognized Native American tribal governments, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations, nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status, and for-profit organizations, including small businesses and Faith based and community organizations 

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $50 million
