Bureau of Reclamation Announces WaterSMART: Small-Scale Water Efficiency Grants Awards

On September 5, 2019 the Bureau of Reclamation announced awards through the WaterSMART: Small-Scale Water Efficiency Grants program. The program awarded $4.1 million to 63 different projects in multiple states throughout the western United States.

 The Small-Scale Water Efficiency Grants program provides funding for a variety of water conservation and efficiency programs including installation of flow measurement or automation in a specific part of a water delivery system, and lining of a section of a canal to address seepage. No project may receive more than $75,000 and applicants are required to provide a 50 percent match

TFG is pleased to announce four clients received funding through this announcement:

  • Imperial Irrigation District, Flow Measurement Equipment - $62,175
  • Lower Tule Irrigation District, Recharge Basin Metering System - $75,000
  • Palmdale Water District, Landscape Water Use Efficiency Project, Phase II - $75,000
  • Kansas Bostwick Irrigation District, Converting CW 10.6 Open Lateral to Buried Pipe System - $66,418
