The purpose of this program is to alleviate persistent economic distress and support long-term comprehensive economic development and job creation, in places with a high prime-age employment gap (PAEG). For the purposes of this program, prime-age is defined as ages 25 to 54. Ultimately, the program's goal is to ensure that all communities have a path to economic prosperity.
