A Message from Roger Gwinn on the Passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa

WASHINGTON, D.C. – TFG CEO, Roger Gwinn, released the following statement regarding the passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa. Since he assumed office in January 2013, our firm had the privilege of working closely with Congressman LaMalfa and his staff on dozens of issues on behalf of many of the public agencies and communities he represented in Congress.

Throughout his service, Congressman LaMalfa was a tireless and principled advocate for his constituents and for the region he represented, the State of California, and the nation. He consistently made time to listen, to learn, and to engage thoughtfully on the complex challenges facing Northern California—whether advancing water reliability, supporting agricultural communities, or standing shoulder to shoulder with communities devastated by wildfire and flooding. His dedication to serving the people of his district was unwavering, and his work reflected a deep commitment to their long-term health, safety, and prosperity.

Congressman LaMalfa was truly one of the hardest-working members of Congress, and he will be sorely missed.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Jill, his children, and his entire family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them, his wonderful staff, and all those whose lives were touched by his service."
