FY 2023 Rural and Municipal Utility Cybersecurity (RMUC) Advanced Cybersecurity Technology (ACT) 1 Prize 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will improve the ability of utilities to protect against, detect, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity threats. ACT 1 cash prizes will be available to eligible utilities to incentivize meaningful, impactful investments in cybersecurity technologies and support training to increase the knowledge, skills, and abilities of utility staff. ACT 1 has 3 Phases, and the current competition is for Phase 1. Click here for more information.

WHO'S ELIGIBLE? State and local governments; special districts, Native American tribal organizations, higher education institutions, school districts, public housing authorities, nonprofits, and for-profit businesses. While applicants can be from outside the Chesapeake watershed, only projects that take place in the watershed will be considered.

TOTAL FUNDING AMOUNT? $1 million
