WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to strengthen American energy independence by increasing the private sector supply of renewable energy and decreasing the demand for energy through energy-efficiency improvements. Funding will support eligible organizations to establish programs to assist rural small businesses and agricultural producers by conducting and promoting energy audits (EAs) and providing renewable energy development assistance (REDA), including renewable energy technical assistance and renewable energy site assessments.
