FY 2024 Second Chance Act Addressing the Needs of Incarcerated Parents and Their Minor Children

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to develop or expand services within juvenile and adult detention and correctional facilities to improve outcomes for incarcerated parents and their minor children. Funding will support the implementation of programs and services that reduce recidivism and support responsible parenting that leads to healthy child development, resiliency, and improved interactions among incarcerated parents and their minor children, as well as family and community members.
