WHAT DOES IT FUND? The program is designed to promote interagency coordination by leveraging specialized law enforcement expertise with dedicated prosecutorial resources to promote public and community safety by aggressively investigating and prosecuting violent criminals in jurisdictions experiencing precipitous increases in violent crime. Rather than receiving direct funding through this program, participating law enforcement agencies will receive a three-year commitment from the Department of Justice (DOJ) to deliver no-cost, customized, site-specific training and technical assistance (TTA).
