This May, the National Association of Towns and Townships (NATaT) hosted its annual “America’s Town Meeting” to discuss issues impacting towns and townships with congressional leaders.

David Hoover shared his telecommunications and broadband expertise as a panelist at the 15th annual INDATEL Business Symposium.

KANSAS CITY, MO.— The Ferguson Group (TFG) Principal and telecommunications expert, David Hoover, participated on “The Future of Rural Broadband” panel at the 15th annual INDATEL Business Symposium, which was held November 7-10 in Kansas City, MO. The panel discussed the state of broadband connectivity in rural communities across the country and strategies to tap into federal telecommunications funding and resources.

“I was very excited to join my fellow rural broadband enthusiasts at this year’s INDATEL Business Symposium,” said David Hoover, TFG Principal. “Broadband infrastructure is critical for rural communities to thrive in the 21st century economy. TFG Monitoring Developments of Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs

On January 27, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under President Trump issued a memorandum titled “Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs.” The directive mandates Federal agencies to temporarily suspend the obligation and disbursement of federal financial assistance while conducting a comprehensive review of programs and awards to ensure alignment with the administration’s policies and priorities. As part of this review, agencies are also instructed to temporarily suspend the issuance of new program solicitations.
